You know the feeling… You’re looking for a job, scrolling through the ads, day in and day out, and wonder why the salary isn’t mentioned anywhere in these ads. How come? Are you expected to work for free? Or is it because horrible recruitment agencies don’t want to share this information with you? Just to let you know straight off the bat, it’s neither of these reasons? How does it really work then?
Money is one of the most important pieces of information for all of us. As the recruitment agency, we are on your side. We wouldn’t even mind sharing the remuneration amount with you, directly in the post. However, why isn’t it always possible?
General Ads
Recruitment agencies are oftentimes looking to fill multiple job positions for their clients. Therefore, agencies create one posting, in which they are looking for employees for one company with a wide range of job opportunities. Therefore, the agencies are not able to include the salary for 6 types of jobs into one post. However, rest assured that the salary is one of the first issues that we discuss with you.
Salaries are also a complex issue for the employer
Oftentimes, companies leave the salary expectations up to the applicants. This means that if you’re a suitable candidate for the company and come in for an interview, we will discuss your salary expectations with you and try to negotiate it for you with the employer. Oftentimes, our clients are so impressed by the candidates that they end up accepting the candidate’s higher salary demands.
Customized Salary
Whether you’re looking for a job in engineering or the automotive industry, your experience and skill set are top priorities for companies. Therefore, we oftentimes have a salary range at our disposal, which we adapt to meet the candidate’s requirements. If we were to include the remuneration amount that the employer has in mind for a candidate with two years of experience, it would discourage a more experienced candidate from applying, even though the company would be willing to pay more and vice versa. In other words, it never hurts to try even if you don’t know the salary in advance.
The base salary is not everything
There are many other benefits added on to the initial amount - be it incremental pay raises, personal assessments, a 10% pay raise following the probation period and so on. We are happy to discuss all of these extras during the interview – listing all of them in an ad on social media is time consuming. However, you will generally find all this information on our website once if you click through the given position.
Believe us when we say that the salary is just as important to us as it is to you. We only find ourselves in a slightly different position, therefore, we can’t always share this information on public networks. However, we will gladly discuss all your possibilities right after you send us your resume. We look forward to hearing about your salary expectations during your interview with WOLIP :-).
